We make a variety of puppets intended for the younger user - though some of them are bought by adults as well. Our children's range of wooden marionettes is in the classic Czech style with a metal rod and four strings (well three, really, as the hands are controlled by a single string that runs between them!). Children as young as four can handle Czech style marionettes, because their strings DON'T TANGLE! Our "PR" characters are about 25cm tall.

For younger children we also produce two simpler styles of puppet - our Turned Wooden Puppets and our SR-type Simple Marionettes.

The turned wooden puppets are very simple, colourful characters which stand about 12cm tall and can be used on a table-top or floor, or you can order (or make for yourself if you're that way inclined!) a Puppet Theatre for them to appear in. They're great for story-telling, and given two or three assorted characters children will come up with some of the most astounding stories. Take a piece of wood, some paint and some cord, and add a large portion of imagination..........

The SR-type is a simplified version of the Czech-style marionette but with only a hand-string; painting and costume are simpler than in the standard ranges above, and the puppets are easily usable by children of about 3 upwards.
