"PR" rod marionettes are our standard range of puppets for children. They are approximately 25cm tall, and use the control system, common in central Europe, featuring a central metal control rod with a a simple twist handle to operate the leg strings and a single running string to operate the hands. This system means that string tangles are almost impossible - good news for parents and guardians! We recommend the PR range for children of about 7 upwards, but we have met children as young as 4 who could use a PR with no problems.
Our stock of PRs is constantly changing, and the puppets shown here are simply a selection of the characters available. Please feel free to contact us with requests if the character you're after is not shown. Standard PR puppets are £35, plus £3 postage within the UK; overseas postage at cost. Normally a "request" character is the same price, but in some cases - if the character is particularly complex, for instance, or if a specific costume has to be accurately reproduced in miniature - the cost will be correspondingly higher. We are happy to quote you for (almost!) any character.
